Well here we are getting ready for supercross again and alot has happend since my last post so I will start from the begining.
Steel City was a nice way for me to end the outdoor series as well as my last ride aboard a Honda. All around was a pretty solid day for me. 6-3 which was good enough for third overall. Then it was off to the Bahamas. I had planned this vacation quiet some time before hand and was pretty excited. I was going with my girlfriend, my training partner and buddy. I think you all know him as “RV” and his girlfreind, his brother, and some of his aunts and uncles. We all flew out straight from Steel City and we were all pumped. It was the first vacation I had been on that was non motocross related. We got there monday afternoon and we were staying for 11 days. A long nice relaxing vacation!!! WRONG!!! the first day was amazing, sun was out we were pool side just have a grand old time. Things quickly turned around as the wind started blowing unbeleivably hard the next couple days. Before we knew it we were under hurricane alert and were asked to leave the Island. We were back at home friday afternoon. Not exzactly what we had all planned.
Moving on.
I was back home and still suppose to be on vacation but before long I was itching to go ride my dirtbike. I was excited because I got to start riding my new Monster energy/ Pro Circuit/ Kawasaki. I called up Mitch and told him I was ready to start riding again so we lined it up and he had my machanic meet me at the track. The first day was alot of fun, just out at the local track riding having fun learning the new bike. I emmediatly felt realy good on the bike. I rode outdoors for a coule weeks then got into some supercross. Everything was going realy well and I was loving the bike. Then we got into testing the new 2009 KX 250F which is amazing. All the pieces were falling into place. We were getting the bike set up to perfection and then I got sick ended up going to the Docter a couple times and about a week later got the phone call and was informed that I had “Mono”!!! I was super bummed and had no idea of when I would be healthy again. I was instructed to lay on the coach for a month and catch up on all my favorite movies. I did that indeed!! After all that TV watching I went back to the docter and got some more blood work done and a couple days later and I was told to come in for a “evaluation”. I took all my gear with me because they had told me that they got “some” tests back and they looked good. I got the go ahead when I was there so I stopped off at Pro Circuit grabbed my bike and off I went to the test track.
It’s been a couple weeks now and I feel as if I never missed a beat. I have done some more testing since and at this point everything is right on track. I feel great on the bike and am back on my regular training routine.
I want to thank Dr. Navaro, my trainer Randy, Mitch, and my girlfreind Nicole who have all been very supportive!!!
So for now it is time to just keep my nose to the grinding stone and preparing for supercross!!!

It’s really strange….My name is Bill Weimer in the middle of Kansas…I’m sure we are no relation. I’m 54 and back in the early 70’s I rode and raced a 350 Kaw BigHorn….Strange huh? But I do enjoy watching your runs on TV…..Takes me back….Still into bikes - just fat street bikes now…haha
